Happy New Year 2025 from koo design studio.
hope you had wonderful holidays and a happy new year, The excellent year of 2025 has already get started for you.
Unfortunately a Huge impact from the fires in Los Angeles, I feel so sorry for the people who affected by the fires.
I hope these end soon. We all are so sad now and I really cannot say much about it... but just praying.
You may have heard of the term CAD.
Creating a 3D object is called modeling, and it is created using 3DCAD software.
Or it can be created by scripting, like WebGL.
3DCAD software is designed to make the scripting process more visual and intuitive,
but the basic internal process is the same.
Therefore, it is possible to load and display objects created with 3DCAD software in WebGL, etc.
First, create a simple primitive shape (such as a box, sphere, cone, etc.), divide the surface (polygonize, triangles, squares), and push and pull the editing points to create the desired shape. There is also software that uses digital brushes to take an approach similar to using clay.
There are other ways to create 3D models.
3D scanning involves using a digitizing device to touch the surface and recode its shape, or to scan the surface using a laser.
The other method is called "photogrammetry" and uses photographs to generate the model. Every surface is photographed from different angles and software analyzes the shape to create the model.
The photos can be used as texture maps, resulting in very realistic results.
From the next month issue, I'd like to continue talking about 3DCG,
the process of applying color and texture (shading, texturing) to the model.
Please stay tuned.
